Server scripts

What really sets us aside from other website developers is our skill at the back end. Server-side scripts and programs are the most interesting aspects, technically speaking.

We develop in PERL, C++ and various other languages. We can supply and/or install scripts on any server, and we can host scripts for you on our servers. We have an extensive toolkit of script objects, and we can custom develop to order. We also have standard, or semi-standard, scripts for many tasks including the following:

Cyber | Tracker. When web logs are not enough, our Cyber | Tracker provides the inside track on visitors. It records where they came from, which keywords they searched on if they came from a search engine, where they are located, which pages they view and in which order, and where they go to when they leave. In combination with our PC-based log analyzer, it is the ultimate tool for analysis and development of websites.

Cyber | Clicker. This is available as part of Cyber | Tracker or separately. It records details of downloads and click throughs so that you can measure the popularity and effectiveness of downloads and links. It is a very valuable analysis tool in its own right.

Cyber | Forms. This is the workhorse of scripts. It can parse any form submitted from a web page, extract the data, store it in a database if required, send an appropriate acknowledgement to the remitter, and forward the details or an alert to the website administrator. Outgoing emails can be plain text or well-formatted XHTML.

Cyber | Users. This provides the basics of user administration, maintaining user lists, encrypted password lists, and basic user data. Automated sign-up is supported, along with real time password renewal and ‘forgot-password’ handling. Personal data can be updated by the user in real time. If you need to control access and/or store user data, this is the best module available.

Cyber | Accounts. This supplements the Cyber | Users script and maintains financial account records in real time. Linked to a payment gateway, users can manage their accounts and (depending on constraints stipulated by the administrator) receive and remit funds. The accounts can be accessed by other systems (eg, shopping cart, subscriptions and quizzes) for real-time transactions.

Cyber | Guestbooks. This allows visitors to leave comments and that-all-important email address. Messages can be queued for approval before going public. Unwanted keywords can be screened out.

Cyber | Forums. This provides full support for real-time (or queued-for-approval) discussion forums.

Cyber | Gallery. Need to maintain a database of photos or images which can be searched and displayed according to administrator – or user-defined criteria? This is the solution. New images can be uploaded by users and queued for release.

Cyber | Workflow. Allows users and administrators to upload Word documents, Excel workbooks, images, etc, add notes and comments and define who can access them; an ideal basis for an intranet or extranet.

Cyber | Listmailer SE. This maintains mailing lists in formats defined dynamically by users, together with boilerplate text, and enabled web-based bulk personalized emailing. Permissions (can view, edit, add, queue, approve for release) allow full control over mailing lists and their use. [Our PC-based version is also very popular]

Cyber | Webmail. Full server-side email management with POP and SMTP.

Custom. The list of modules goes on and on. They are all customizable, so that for example you can specify the fields to be stored in databases. Moreover, we have the building blocks to create completely custom modules to suit your requirements – and we can do this quickly and cost-effectively.
