cyber | voting script - features
Overview
Cyber | voting is a fully-featured real-time voting system which allows visitors to rank, rate or otherwise express their opinion about anything. Examples include:
- Star ratings:

- Graduated ratings:

- Scores (out of 10, 100, percentages, etc)
- Yes, No answers
- Categorical ranking (eg, poor, good, excellent)
User-configurable options
Cyber | voting is easy to configure. By setting a few simple parameters you can completely customize it:
You can label the categories (Yes,No - 1,2,3,4,5 - poor, good, excellent - Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday, etc)
You can define the number of categories. The minimum is one. There is no theoretical maximum but note that users may become confused if there are too many categories (six or eight is a safe maximum).
You define the width and height of the bar chart, colours, fonts, etc
You choose whether the results are displayed in a popup window or by refreshing the page.
You choose whether the bars are horizontal or vertical
You can choose whether the results-to-date are displayed as the number of votes or a percentage score.
You decide whether the results are summarized as a star rating (eg, 3-star) or as a thermometer-type bar.
The written displays are completely configurable so that you can change the wording or the language (the default language is English).
You can define how often visitors from one IP address are allowed to vote - eg, not more than once every five minutes (to prevent spurious voting), once a day, month, year, etc.
You define from which websites you will accept votes - to prevent other webmasters from stealing your voting system, or hackers from programming spoiling votes.
