Domain names

Relatively minor, perhaps, but we should include domain names as a building block in this discussion of the Internet Experience. If you had to reply on IP addresses, rather than domain names (our‘s is cyber-dynamics.net), the Internet would be a tedious place to visit.

Naturally, we can advise on the selection of domain names. We can register names, host them on name servers, manage internet records to point the names at websites, and provide full email – see next page. We can even spoof one domain so that it appears to have a different name - legally of course, such as when a company has several domain names but only one website.

We register domains in most jurisdictions – the three letter domains such as com and net, as well as two-letter top level domains (TLDs) such as .uk, .fr, etc.

We also watch for coveted domain names coming onto the market. We have successfully obtained many "unobtainable" domains names for our clients either by negotiating with the previous owners or by watching for registrations which are not being renewed. Our successes include obtaining very short dot com names.
